Chittagong-- – Trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday (Wednesday) as the losers strongly dominated the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 14.78 points or 1.09 percent to close at 1333.04 points from Tuesday’s 1347.82 points.

Of the 64 listed securities traded yesterday, only seven gained, 54 declined and three remained unchanged.

Some 869,780 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4.53 crore were transacted against 733,756 shares worth Tk 3.78 crore on the previous trading day.

Bexi Pharma (307,550), Miracle Industries (153,000), Quasem Dry Cells Ltd (97,100), Aims First Guaranteed (72,500) and Sinobangla (28,000) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 54.87 billion from Tk 55.42 billion Tuesday.
